The Real Science In "The Lost Symbol"

Our Film features the noetic scientists, their research and the new science of healing, all of which play a key role in Dan Brown's new bestseller.

We are thrilled that Brown is catapulting noetic science, and other sound empirical scientific research in bioenergetic healing out of the New Age and into the mainstream consciousness.

On the very first page he writes:
"Fact:
All organizations in this novel exist, including the Freemasons, ... and the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
All rituals, science, artwork and monuments in this novel are real."

Dan Brown weaves an intelligent, surprising story with a love interest who is a noetic scientist. Her work becomes an integral piece of the plot. Through this character, readers learn about noetic science and hear about some of the same research presented in our film by the real noetic scientists, Marilyn Schlitz, PhD, president of IONS; Edgar Mitchell, PhD,US Astronaut, founder of IONS; Lynne McTaggart, author; Bruce Lipton, MD, PhD, cell biologist; and Rollin McCraty, Director of Research Institute of HeartMath.

Dan Brown is clearly a supporter of noetic science as his many references in the book, parallel actual science and inform readers about its key tenets.

As his character Katherine Solomon, so eloquently says, "The idea of universal consciousness is no ethereal New Age concept. It’s a hard-core scientific reality. . . and harnessing it has the potential to transform our world. . . What’s more it’s happening right now. You can feel it all around you. Technology is linking us in ways we never imagined possible: Twitter, Google, Wikipedia and others all blend to create a web of interconnected minds.”

Lynne McTaggart is referenced directly in the book. Here is a link to the blog she wrote when she found out: The Intention Experiment
